I had the chance to spend an hour on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square as part of Antony Gormley's One & Other.
I used this opportunity to exhibit some of my work in the form of a banner, and to draw people and things from upon the plinth.
You can see what I got up to here: http://www.oneandother.co.uk/participants/Helen_D
These are the drawings I did whilst on the plinth:

Take On Me style personal portrait commissions
In February 2009, I created this promotional portrait for Pal H Christiansen, the author of "The Scoundrel Days of Hobo Highbrow"
I hope to be able to accept commissions for personal portraits in this style of drawing, most suitably for A-ha fans, or as a gift to an A-ha fan, especially those who have photos of themselves with the band, however, I need to develop my website to include a shopping basket and secure payment option, and at this stage I'm unsure how to do that, and have no initial funding to invest in adding such a widget until I start receiving commissions!
Currently accepting commissions from illustration agents and professionals for music industry and magazine promotional work.
Further details are on my website: www.helendblackbird.co.uk
Please get in touch if you would be interested in commissioning a portrait in the style of Take On Me.
All comments on my work are welcome.
